Writing Prompt: Twinkie Relics

Another prompt I stole from my other blog

I once read a humorous take on how archaeologists of the future would interpret the use and purpose of current-day objects. Since Twinkies and all things Hostess appeared to be going extinct last winter (which seriously blew my mind!)…

Writing Prompt: Twinkie Relics (A)

Write a story in which someone from the future, who has enough knowledge about the rise and fall of Hostess baked goods to recognize that such relics are very valuable at this point int time, discovers a perfectly preserved–and still edible (gotta love preservatives that are that amazing)–package of Twinkies. Show what he/she makes of them. It could be archaeologists who discover Twinkies hoarded with a dead body. It could be looters. Better yet, make your characters starving survivors of a post-apocalyptic world who must decide whether to eat the Twinkies so they don’t starve or preserve them for their value.

Good luck!
