Writing Prompt: Gastrointestinal Distress

Stealing another prompt from my old blog

I think I’ve been in the most discomfort and least able to do anything about it at times in my life when I’ve had a bad stomach ache. How many of you agree? *Counts raised hands* Having a stomach ache sucks…which makes it a great conflict to throw into a story.

Try this prompt…

Writing Prompt: Gastrointestinal Distress

The bad guys are coming, your main character has to protect the secret in the flash drive he stole and deliver it safely to his superiors…but he has a bad stomach ache (and stomach problems are a general weakness for him). He can’t run. He can’t magically get better and fight back. He might even give himself away by expelling flatulent sounds and foul odors. Find a creative way to show how your character EVADES capture while in the throws of gastrointestinal distress.

Intense huh? Good luck!

Oh my, your prompt made me laugh. It could totally be a real thing. Can you see Bond or Bourne dealing with the runs as the run from the bad guys? Now I want to throw some GI distress into my current WIP.

I found your blog from Ilima Todd’s website. Nice to meet you!
